Master Choreographer and Artistic Director of Internationally renowned Arabesque Dance Company, Earthshakers and YRArt's Global Collective, Yasmina will create a dynamic and theatrical choreography embracing your individual talents.

The result of the weekend will end with a full-length performance featuring the ensemble work. To be a participant in Yasmina Ramzy's creative process is a rare and profound learning opportunity where every dancer is seen as a unique and vital ingredient.

Yasmina’s vast experience and exceptional approach to Art have been inspiration for dance artists, troupes and dance companies all around the world.


The newest program of the director is tailored to artists and teachers who wish to cultivate authenticity and creativity by letting go of being "always in control" and let the soul speak through body movement.

About Yasmina Ramzy

Yasmina Ramzy is a visionary, pioneer and a highly acclaimed choreographer committed to the presentation of Raqs Sharqi as high art. Since 1981, she has performed over 10,000, times often for royalty and heads of state and throughout the Middle East.


Yasmina has had the unique privilege of performing for several years in Syria with the famous master musicians of Allepo. As well as creating the renowned standardized Arabesque Academy curriculum, she teaches in over 60 cities on five continents. She founded Arabesque Dance Company and Orchestra, Arabesque Academy, the International Bellydance Conference of Canada (IBCC) and the Bellydance Blossom Festival.

Yasmina received her key training from leading masters in Egypt and Syria including Aida Nour of the Reda Troupe and Mohammed Khalil, director of the National Folklore Troupe of Egypt. Her unique and highly creative choreographies have won numerous awards and commissioned by many dance ensembles internationally including the Bellydance Superstars.

Yasmina has produced nine performance and seven instructional DVDs as well as seven CDs. She wrote the "Ask Yasmina" column in the world's largest online Bellydance magazine which is translated into several languages as well as several other publications and continues to write her own blog. As a mentor to many, she is well known for revealing the authentic, organic structure of Mid East dance and its relationship to Arabian music.
